Mike Dewson

Mike started his professional career in 1995, working within the highways and drainage department at Poole Borough Council, delivering capital highway and drainage improvement schemes; through this time gaining a expansive understanding of the public sector design process and contract procurement through to delivery.

Since this point, he has developed his private sector career over the past 20 years in working in all sectors of the industry, including Local Authority, Main Contractor and Consultancy. His main work areas have been within the industrial and residential sectors and he has worked at all scales, from small single unit residential schemes, up to strategic land development, major urban expansion sites and major distribution parks.

He has wide ranging experience and knowledge of land assessments, from engineering advice related to development constraints, ground conditions (including earthworks \ ground improvement) and potential abnormal costs, to planning requirements particularly related to SuDS and Flood Risk.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys walking the Dorset countryside at weekends and is a fair weather windsurfer!
