James Abbass

James has extensive experience working in the Industry & Logistics sector, providing noise assessments for everything from individual plant installations to large operational sites. His work includes noise modelling, noise breakout from buildings, and the development of bespoke mitigation measures, often alongside M&E designers and operational teams to ensure sites function effectively while protecting nearby communities.

Within the Residential sector, James has supported both SME developers and large residential-led schemes, including mixed-use and hotel developments located in highly noise‑sensitive environments. Many of these projects are affected by multiple noise sources such as road, rail, industry and music venues. We value James’s ability to guide projects from early planning through to completion, delivering robust assessments, achieving compliance, and identifying value‑engineering opportunities without compromising performance.

James also brings wide experience across Education and Health Care projects, offering acoustic advice from inception to delivery. His work often contributes to wider sustainability and quality objectives, including schemes targeting BREEAM credits.

In addition to development acoustics, James strengthens our Environmental Services offer through specialist Noise at Work surveys and assessments. He has worked across diverse environments including manufacturing, recycling, heavy industry, emergency services training facilities and specialist operational sites. These projects require careful, practical solutions that balance safety, regulation and continued operation.

James also supports our clients where independent technical expertise is required through Expert Witness services, providing clear reporting and professional representation in complex noise and acoustics matters.
