Richard is a Director and Head of the South West office at Brookbanks. Based in South Devon, Richard has an extensive network, in particular, throughout the South West and Wales.
Richard is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) and Chartered Housing Practitioner (CIHCM) with extensive experience in working for both consultancies and development organisations focusing primarily on Employers Agent, Cost Management, Project Management and Strategic Asset Services. He has a track record of working with Clients to structure and implement development programmes and undertaking existing asset reviews. He has much experience in undertaking viability and due diligence assessments in respect of land disputes as well as providing Expert Witness reports and assessments on commercial and technical matters.
Richard is passionate about providing detailed and informed professional advice to the Client base, including insight into latest updates and technologies within the construction sector.Richard has wide experience in the strategy and delivery of all forms of Modern Methods of Construction and is a published author on this topic. He has previously contributed to housing and regeneration strategy reports for both local authorities and National Government.Richard is an affordable housing specialist with a long track record of working nationally with a wide range of affordable housing provider.Similarly, Richard has wide experience in the Older Persons Housing / Later Living Sector and away from Brookbanks Richard is also a Board Trustee of a national charity providing homes to older people.
