Aylesbury Grammar School

Aylesbury Grammar School in Buckinghamshire planned a significant school-wide refurbishment and upgrade of its heating, hot water and cold water systems.

Our Role

Brookbanks was appointed by the school to carry out a feasibility study, produce a range of building services design options and provide a recommendation and proposed budget in support of a funding application.

Following a detailed site survey, our team developed and assessed a series of options to identify a practical, deliverable approach for the school estate.

The Outcome

The recommendation gave the school a clear route forward for improving core building services across the campus, supporting its funding application with robust technical advice and budget guidance.

The recommended solution comprised a complete refurbishment of the existing heating systems, with targeted modifications local to specific buildings. The cold water services were fully refurbished, while hot water services were converted to local electric hot water generation in many areas. A site-wide BMS was also installed.
