Centennial House
We were appointed to undertake a full ‘turnkey’ refurbishment of this 32,000ft2, two-storey building for NACCO Materials Handling Group on behalf of Investream.
Our Role
Our design responsibilities encompassed the stripout of all services, the development of an enabling works package and the services design for the new shell-and-core and Cat A facilities. A subsequent works package included the fit-out design for the new offices and construction of a new workshop area.
The Outcome
During the enabling works phase half of the first floor slab was removed in order to construct the workshop area. This required careful repositioning of the incoming gas and electrical services; we oversaw this stage of works, along with all construction phases to monitor the quality of all the installations.
Our designs included the addition of central air handling plant, and we replaced the gas-fired heating system with high efficiency VRF air source heat pumps.
