Inspired Villages – UK wide
Inspired Villages (IV) develop and operate luxury, purpose-built retirement communities. Secure, high-quality one, two and three-bedroom apartments surround a central ‘village’ where the club facilities are located. The club includes a gym, swimming pool, salon, bistro-café, cinema and library.
Our Role
We provide a broad spectrum of services and expertise to IVG; mechanical, electrical, public health and lift services designs, energy strategies, surveys and facility maintenance audits. We also act as the client’s representative, monitoring the contractor’s works and witnessing / commissioning on site.
The Outcome
Energy performance and building resilience are at the heart of all our schemes, which we optimise through the appropriate use of low energy solutions. The Villages we have designed to date will benefit from efficient LED lighting throughout, with a site-specific combination of ground-source heat pumps, photovoltaic panels, combined heat and power (CHP), high-efficiency boilers, and heat recovery systems. Detailed overheating analysis of the apartments and corridors is undertaken early in the project to inform the demand required to create and maintain a comfortable living space.
