Oakridge Park Medical Centre
We were appointed to help correct an overheating issue taking place at this 10,764ft2, 2-storey medical centre. Our appointment also included project management responsibilities.
Our Role
Our designs included the installation of additional ventilation and air conditioning to both staff and patient areas throughout the building to improve comfort levels for the occupants.
New air conditioning was provided to each of the GP’s consultation rooms, staff offices/reception and patient waiting rooms. The system installed was an energy efficient VRF heat recovery system capable of simultaneously cooling some areas whilst providing heat to others. The temperature in each room is managed by a corresponding wall-mounted controller, located in the manager’s office.
Additional mechanical ventilation was provided to supply fresh air throughout the building. This comprised of heat recovery supply and extract fan units, and associated ductwork and grilles. All ventilation is controlled via a central controller
