Storage King, Hounslow
The Storage King site, located in close proximity to Heathrow Airport in Hounslow, was recently completed. This storage facility offers 22 different unit sizes, ranging from 10 sq. ft to 400 sq. ft. With 24/7 access, customers can conveniently use mobile-operated access control.
Our Role
SVM was entrusted with Stage 3 design responsibilities for the client, with an additional mandate to oversee contractor monitoring throughout the design and build phases until project completion to ensure strict adherence to building regulations and local policies, thereby guaranteeing full compliance.
The Outcome
In addition to complying with regulatory requirements, the facility incorporates a range of advanced engineering features. These include photovoltaic (PV) generation systems for sustainable energy production, implementation of energy-efficient low-wattage LED lighting fixtures across the premises, integration of mobile-operated access control mechanisms for user access to storage facility out of typical working hours, installation of a comprehensive CCTV system for enhanced security, and provision of electric vehicle (EV) charging points.
