To limit global temperature rises the UK has committed to reducing our net emissions of greenhouse gases by 100% relative to the 1990 level by 2050. The key to having a safe and habitable planet is achieving the targeted net zero carbon position.
The industry estimates that 80% of UK buildings that will exist in 2050 have already been constructed, and almost all of them emit carbon.
