Our Role
Brookbanks’ Development Management support was instrumental during the Outline Planning stage, particularly in steering the technical teams in overcoming complex transport assessment and infrastructure issues and securing agreement from National Highways and Swindon Borough Council.
Brookbanks also provided robust viability assessments and successfully negotiated with the local authority to agree a reduced affordable housing requirement, reflecting the extensive infrastructure delivery by the scheme.
At site purchase stage, Brookbanks assisted Persimmon with the valuation and managed the pre-commencement delivery activates to enable a timely commencement once the planning consent and land was secured.
The Outcome
The planning application went through various iterations to ensure the proposals were well designed, providing a distinctive, attractive and accessible place. As a result, the Kingsdown Development secured a valuable and timely resolution to grant outline consent at the planning committee.
