Flood Alleviation Complete

This week, the long term flood alleviation scheme on the Gog and Fishers Brooks in South West Warwick was completed which included the removal of excessive vegetation to allow flood flows to be adequately conveyed; replacement of the A429 Stratford Road culvert with a 4 x 2m concrete box culvert and creation of a flood berm along Fishers Brook, downstream of Stratford Road and to the south of Lodge Crescent, extending to approximately 140m in length.

These works, completed in conjunction with the Environment Agency and Warwick District Council have resulted in the removal of 100's of homes from the areas at high risk of flooding, providing a signifianct benefit to people and property.
